Used Wood Chippers for Sale

Whole-tree chippers and drum chippers for land clearing, biomass fuel, and clean mulch production.

Common questions about used wood chippers

Chipper or grinder — which do I need?

A chipper wants clean wood (whole trees, tops, brush) and gives you a uniform, sellable chip. A grinder handles dirty, contaminated, or mixed feed (stumps with dirt, C&D wood, pallets) but produces coarser, less consistent material. If your feed is clean wood and chip quality matters, buy a chipper. If it’s dirty or mixed, buy a grinder.

What size whole-tree chipper do I need?

Match the throat opening to your largest expected stem. A 19–20" capacity machine (Bandit 19XP, Morbark 2131) covers most tree-service and light land-clearing work. For production biomass and full land-clearing crews, look at 23–25" whole-tree chippers (Bandit 2590, Morbark 40/36, Peterson 4310). Tell us your stem size and daily volume and we’ll narrow it.

Do you help move a chipper I buy from RPG?

Yes — we coordinate heavy-haul across the lower 48 and into Canada. Buyer pays freight; we handle the logistics and scheduling.
