How many hours is too many on a used dozer?
Tier 4 industrial diesels (Cat C9/C13, Komatsu SAA6) typically have 15,000-20,000 hours of useful life with proper maintenance. The undercarriage usually drives total cost of ownership — a dozer at 8,000-10,000 hours that's been well-cared-for and isn't due for an undercarriage rebuild is a strong buy.
