Common questions about used loaders & skid steers
Wheel loader vs track loader vs skid steer?
Wheel loader: best for high-volume material handling on hard surfaces (yards, quarries). Compact track loader: better flotation on soft ground, good for landscape and site work. Skid steer (wheeled): cheapest, most maneuverable in tight spaces, but tears up soft ground.
What size wheel loader for feeding a crusher?
Match the bucket to the crusher feed opening — bucket should fit easily inside. Common pairings: 3-yard loader (Hitachi ZW220, Cat 950M, Komatsu WA380) feeds a 32"+ jaw at 200+ TPH. 5-yard loader (Cat 980, ZW330) for 40"+ jaws and high-volume aggregate.
